Connected Commerce | Shopper Marketing: Graphic Designer II

Are you new to the industry and eager to join an agency that cares as much about doing great work as you do? We're looking for a talented designer to grow with our Connected Commerce Shopper Marketing team at Mosaic.

This role sits at the intersection of brand, retail, and shopper. Our work represents brands at critical moments leading up to and at the point of purchase, across both physical retail environments and digital commerce platforms. Every idea needs to work hard, look beautiful, and move shoppers into action.

You are a conceptual thinker, a confident presenter, and someone with a passion for craft, design, and detail. You're comfortable balancing big-picture ideas with thoughtful execution and enjoy working collaboratively in a fast-paced creative environment. Most importantly, you know how to have fun with the work, whether it's a national campaign or a single shopper touchpoint, bringing your unique creative point of view to every brief.

The Graphic Designer plays an important role in helping Acosta's Connected Commerce team build and design informative and attractive visual communications and creative assets with clear objectives for its audience. They work with internal and external teams to provide creative support on key clients' business and marketing campaigns with visually stunning documents that promote Acosta clients at retail. This is achieved through strong graphic design execution using Adobe Creative Suite, as well as strategic storytelling to make presentations useful, relevant and eye-catching. Skills in graphic design, business communications, project management, and creative marketing are necessary for success in this job.

The ideal candidate should be:

Technically savvy and a creative professional: Understands the importance of Acosta's clients, possess marketing skills, and can use a variety of creative and technical skills to create stunning campaigns that are on-brand and effectively sell clients' product. Should have experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc) and the ability to apply design fundamentals across formats: digital & print.

Able to convey/sell a message: Will ensure our clients' brands show up visually consistent and the message matches the campaign objectives, values, mission and goals. Creates designs that complement our clients' style guides and gets the intended message across with uniform content, visual elements and purpose.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for developing creative shopper marketing campaigns, and other communications, customized to the client or customers' needs. This person will be expected to engage in meetings and needs assessments with both to ensure the end product is in line with expectations and drive the business results.

Organizes and participates in brainstorming sessions by contributing/generating ideas/concepts to meet existing and new clients' objectives and strategies.

Manages multiple projects/demands simultaneously with quality execution and on time delivery.

Supports the Request for Proposal process in developing creative new business campaigns.

Interfaces with current and potential clients advising on Acosta's products and services

Works with internal channel and team leaders making recommendations on the marketing and positioning of Acosta's product and service offering.

Manage timelines and milestones from beginning to end including strong organizational and time management skills

Become a visual storyteller, and thrive using a variety of multimedia platforms to showcase services and capabilities, to sell our clients' brands and promote the company as the provider of choice

Consistently uphold brand and style guidelines and communicate, and potentially teach, these standards to others internally

Manages content storage and distribution of important Acosta and client documents including (but not limited to): RFPs, RFIs, presentations, templates, logos, branding guidelines, communication deliverables (internal/external).

QUALIFICATIONS

Work Experience Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a retail/merchandising/marketing environment

    • Possess strong technical skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, with comfort working in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

    • Outstanding attention to detail and high degree of accuracy and ability to sell the company message through visuals/graphics

    • Experience interacting with all levels of management (including senior/executive level) and across business units

    • Exceptional written communication skills and storytelling ability

    • Strong understanding of the Retail and CPG industry

    • Background in Graphic Design preferred

    • Experience working with creative departments, marketing or sales

    • Project Management Expertise: Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines, work on many projects simultaneously, and effectively collaborate within a team, or as an individual, in a corporate setting

    • Critical thinking skills used to interpret complex concepts and translate them into easy to understand graphs, charts and visual graphics

    • Expert graphic designer who provides strategic and creative solutions
