Business Law Attorney - Contractor, PT
Job description:
Equinox Business Law Group ( is seeking a part-time Business Law Attorney on a contractual basis with expertise in corporate formation and governance, commercial contracts, employment law and regulatory compliance. Real estate, privacy, business transactions/M&A a plus. Anticipated 10-20 hours per week. Work will be done remotely.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and perform business law projects as assigned.
- Responsiveness is important at Equinox. It is an expectation that Contract Counsel will be responsive to requests and able to deliver on deadlines.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant law and regulations.
Qualifications:
- J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to any state bar with Washington or Oregon preferred.
- 5+ years’ experience in business law.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team and take accountability for work performance.
- Adept with MS Office products
- Familiarity and flexibility with working in a law firm environment, including working with document management and billing platforms and protocols.
Please note that this is a contract position with no guaranteed hours or benefits. Compensation will be based on an hourly rate or project basis.
You are a U.S.-licensed attorney with a minimum of 5 years post-admission experience, with relevant time spent in business law or related areas.
