Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) position in Peoria, IL, requiring a minimum of one year of nursing experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

Details

• PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit / Recovery) setting within a hospital environment
• Day shift: 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• On-call required for weekends and holidays
• May float to other facilities within the health system, including a behavioral health unit and additional hospital campuses

Requirements

• Active IL RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
• Minimum 1 year of relevant RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• Proficiency in critical thinking and independent clinical decision-making
• Basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and web browsing
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Responsible for patient assessment, individualized care planning, and ongoing evaluation of patient outcomes
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date nursing documentation to support continuity of care across the healthcare team
• Expected to identify personal learning needs and contribute to the professional development of peers
• RTO not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
• Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment at this health system for more than 1 year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning to any location within the system
