Director of Business Development
A top healthcare company partnered with us is seeking a dedicated Director of Business Development to drive strategic growth within the healthcare sector. This pivotal role involves spearheading business development initiatives, enhancing market presence, and fostering strategic partnerships. The successful candidate will lead and empower a team to achieve substantial organizational growth while collaborating closely with various internal stakeholders to ensure the highest standard of service offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Strategy: Lead and execute robust strategies to meet organizational goals, fostering a culture of growth and development within the sales team.
- Team Development: Provide guidance, coaching, and direction to enhance the skills and effectiveness of business development professionals. Employ the organizational Sales Model to train team members in sales strategies and territory management.
- Market Expansion: Travel with team members to cultivate customer relationships and identify strengths and development opportunities, ensuring territory plans are effectively implemented.
- Performance Oversight: Regularly conduct sales meetings to assess market needs, seize skillset opportunities, and support continued development and retention of top talent.
- Accountability and Execution: Establish and uphold consistent performance expectations, foster account management, and drive the execution of quarterly business plans and effective sales strategies.
- Business Development: Identify and leverage market opportunities, collaborate with key stakeholders such as hospitals and assisted living communities, and lead the sales team to meet targeted sales goals.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing, patient care, clinical, and compliance teams to enhance the sales process and develop physician peer-to-peer relationships. Utilize central support departments for business opportunities.
Requirements:
- Minimum of three years of leadership experience in healthcare, sales, or marketing.
- At least five years of experience in the healthcare industry with a focus on sales or market development.
- Proficiency in business analytics and tools such as Excel and CRM systems.
- Proven track record in developing and executing sales strategies to drive growth.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated capability to lead and motivate sales teams and manage employee performance effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with all organizational levels.
- Solid understanding of healthcare trends and their application to market strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
