Tool Designer

This role is a 1-2 year contract position with the potential to become permanent, although there are no guarantees.

Responsibilities

• Design cutting tools, assembly tools, work holding fixtures, and functional gauges.

• Provide troubleshooting support for manufacturing and assembly areas.

• Implement ideas to improve setup times and reduce fixture costs.

• Ensure foolproof loading of parts.

• Design for producibility and cost efficiency.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of experience in tool design.

• Proficiency in CAD, GD&T, and tolerance stack-ups.

• Experience with Creo preferred, but any 3D CAD is acceptable.

• Strong understanding of design for automation or machining.

This is a Contract position based out of Loves Park, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
