Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

Operate powder compounding machines to support the production of high-quality products. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and accurate processing to meet production standards.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety procedures for material handling and batch making.
• Select and verify the correct chemical and powder components according to job tickets.
• Accurately weigh chemical ingredients and load them into batch mixing machines.
• Use natural gas burner stations safely to melt wax ingredients and load batch machines.
• Follow batching instructions to produce batches.
• Load powder batches into granulation equipment to produce fine powder.
• Operate punch press machines to convert fine powder into crayons.
• Change punch and die tooling on press machines for different crayon sizes and shapes.
• Monitor the press process to ensure product quality and achieve productivity expectations.
• Perform machine cleanouts using hot water and soap for product changeovers.
• Assist the Maintenance Department in diagnosing and troubleshooting machine issues.
• Lift items weighing up to 55 pounds.

Essential Skills

• General labor and production experience.
• Ability to operate production machinery safely and efficiently.

• Quick learner capable of picking up new processes efficiently.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Elk Grove Village, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
