Work Schedule: Sunday-Thursday
Possible weekend work (Flexibility as needed)
Possible 12-hour days
Travel Requirements: 0-5%
Job Summary:
The JBS Pork team is seeking a 3rd Shift Alley Buyer.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervise hourly union workers
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Receive and evaluate hogs as they arrive at the plant
- Count and sort off-quality hogs
- Supervise hourly union workforce in completion of duties
- Complete necessary paperwork
- Comply with relevant laws, rules, and procedures, including Packers and Stockyards
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong organizational skills
- Communication skills - written and verbal including phone etiquette
- Good work history including attendance
- Team player among all shifts
Education, Experience, Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bilingual (plus but not required)
- Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Experience in swine production, laws, regulations in human handling
Physical Requirements:
- Desk work
- Climbing stairs
- A lot of walking
- Exposed to different temperatures hot, cold, humid
The Applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
Base Salary: $43,320min-$48,736
