Work Schedule: Sunday-Thursday

Possible weekend work (Flexibility as needed)

Possible 12-hour days

Travel Requirements: 0-5%

Job Summary:
The JBS Pork team is seeking a 3rd Shift Alley Buyer.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervise hourly union workers

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Receive and evaluate hogs as they arrive at the plant
• Count and sort off-quality hogs
• Supervise hourly union workforce in completion of duties
• Complete necessary paperwork
• Comply with relevant laws, rules, and procedures, including Packers and Stockyards

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong organizational skills
• Communication skills - written and verbal including phone etiquette
• Good work history including attendance
• Team player among all shifts

Education, Experience, Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bilingual (plus but not required)
• Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
• Experience in swine production, laws, regulations in human handling

Physical Requirements:

• Desk work
• Climbing stairs
• A lot of walking
• Exposed to different temperatures hot, cold, humid

The Applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

Base Salary: $43,320min-$48,736
