Neuro RN Job Details Position Type: Locum tenens (Travel/Contract) – Neuro Registered Nurse Location: Peoria, IL 61636 (Illinois healthcare jobs) Unit: Neuro (8C Neuro Unit) Shift: 12-hour day shifts (7:00am – 7:30pm) Hours per Week: 36 Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 09/02/2025 – End: 11/29/2025) Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week Estimated Weekly Salary: $2000–$2050 Neuro Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of neuro nursing experience (Neuro RN jobs) Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Active Illinois RN license in good standing (Illinois nursing license) Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) Neuro RN Responsibilities Provide comprehensive neuro care for assigned patients during 12-hour day shifts Perform all neuro unit duties and responsibilities Implement neuro-specific procedures and nursing theories Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and clinical support Complete initial assessments and develop individualized neuro care plans Modify care plans based on ongoing patient evaluation Ensure patient and staff safety by reporting and correcting hazards Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team Collaborate with colleagues and offer constructive feedback for professional growth Identify personal learning needs and pursue continuing education Fulfill all departmental competency requirements Discover the benefits of working in Peoria, Illinois, and take your neuro nursing career to the next level.
