Reports To: Agency Manager / Office Manager
Salary: $17/hr. to $22/hr. Based on Experience and Skills

Position Summary:

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our insurance agency team. The CSR will serve as the first point of contact for clients, providing excellent service by handling inquiries, processing policy changes, and supporting the agency’s day-to-day operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others and is interested in growing within the insurance industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to client inquiries via phone, email, and in-person regarding policy coverage, billing, and claims.
• Process policy changes, endorsements, cancellations, and renewals accurately and efficiently.
• Assist agents and producers in quoting new business and servicing existing accounts.
• Maintain client records and documentation in the agency management system.
• Follow up on outstanding client requests and ensure timely resolution.
• Support the sales team by preparing applications, forms, and other documentation.
• Uphold a high level of professionalism and customer service in every interaction.
• Stay updated on product knowledge and carrier guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA, GLBA).

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
• Previous experience in insurance or customer service is strongly preferred.
• Active insurance license (Property & Casualty) is a plus or must be obtained within 6 months after hiring. (Company will pay for the pre-licensing course and exam fee)
• Strong communication skills—verbal and written.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn agency management software.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• Positive attitude with a team-oriented mindset.

Work Environment:

• Office setting with standard business hours (Monday–Friday).
