OverviewThe Agile Center of Excellence (CoE) Lead is a strategic role responsible for promoting and implementing Gallagher’s Agile Ways of Working across the organization. Your role will be central to enhancing agile maturity and scaling agile practices, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic priorities. You will guide squads in adopting agile practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring the consistent application of agile frameworks across multiple teams and divisions.
Ideally you are local to the Chicago area and are able to work out of our Rolling Meadows, IL headquarters on occassion based on business needs.
How you'll make an impact- Provide strong leadership, guidance, and mentorship to agile squads, including Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Agile Coaches, and Agile Champions.
- Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for agile adoption and maturity across the organization.
- Evaluate and recommend adjustments to Gallagher’s Agile Ways of Working operating model that best suits organizational needs and goals.
- Define and track key metrics to assess the effectiveness of agile practices and frameworks, ensuring continuous improvement.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to educate squads and stakeholders on agile principles and practices.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align agile initiatives with strategic objectives and to promote agile culture organization-wide.
- Serve as an agile champion, promoting agile values and practices, and driving organizational change.
- Lead the development of agile best practices and standards within the COE, ensuring consistency and excellence across the organization.
- BA or BS Degree in a relevant field.
- 10+ years of experience in agile environments, with a focus on leading agile transformations.
- 5+ years of experience in a leadership role within the insurance, benefits, and/or financial industry preferred.
- Advanced certification in agile methodologies (e.g., SAFe Program Consultant, ICAgile Coach, etc.) is required. Multiple certifications in various frameworks is preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of multiple agile and scaling frameworks, with the ability to tailor approaches to fit organizational needs.
- Experience implementing agile at scale in large, complex organizations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to drive change and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage risks and prioritize business needs.
- Experience in measuring and improving agile maturity and effectiveness across squads.

Compensation and benefitsWe offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
