Dishwasher - Arrowhead Golf Club - Part Time

GENERAL PURPOSE
This position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for dishes, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, etc., using machine and manual cleaning methods. This position also ensures the dishwashing area is maintained as a clean, safe and sanitary facility.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Must be able to read labels on chemicals; understand verbal and written directions in English; and have good listening skills.
- Must have or obtain upon hire: food handlers certification.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using dishwashing machine or by hand as required.
- Polish all silverware, platters, and chaffing dishes as necessary.
- Clean garbage cans with water or steam.
- Clean and maintain dishwashing machine daily.
- Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in a clean and orderly condition.
- Place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in the appropriate storage areas.
- Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas. Examine garbage for mistakenly dropped silverware, dishes, glassware, etc.
- Sweep and scrub floors.
- Put produce deliveries away in the proper locations, label, and rotate produce (first in first out).
- Meet dress and grooming standards by maintaining a professional appearance.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work area to prevent food borne illness.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Muse be able to: continuously remain in a stationary upright position and grasp items with good eye/hand coordination; frequently move about the kitchen; occasionally position one’s self to reach items below knees and above shoulders and move items such as plates/pans, water buckets, hotbox on wheels, bags of vegetables, etc. weighing up to 50 lbs. and over 50 lbs. with assistance.
SALARY
Looking to hire at 17.00 per hour.
HOURS
25-28 hours per week (hours vary) days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
- This position is IMRF pension and paid time off benefit eligible.

SALARY RANGE
Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum
$15.00 - $18.75 - $22.50
