Compensation for roles at Glanbia varies depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. Glanbia provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Illinois. This range may not be applicable to other locations. The hourly rate for Illinois based employees for this role is $22.25/hour ( $21.50/hour + $0.75 shift differential).

Job Summary

Quality Technicians are responsible for managing and enforcing quality programs & procedures, and company established policies regarding the powder manufacturing process and storage. Quality control technicians review, verify and test products across the three stages of production (incoming, in-process, and final) to ensure quality and food safety levels are met.

Duties and Responsibilities

Decision Making/Problem Solving

• Interpret decision charts for potential non-conformances.
• Evaluate cleaning practices related to facility and/or equipment and decide if additional cleaning is needed to meet the documented requirements.
• Review products to ensure compliance to the specification.

Education

• Minimum- High School or GED Certifications

Experience

• At least 3 or more years’ experience
• Food or pharmaceutical quality experience preferred

Other Experience

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
• Familiarity with quality control procedures, regulations, and industry standards (e.g.,FDA, USDA, OSHA).
• Basic math and computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality control software (e.g., QMS, LIMS).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
• Certification in quality control or a related field (e.g., HACCP/PCQI ) may be advantageous but is not required.
