Quality Control Manager
Job Description
The Quality Control Manager provides enterprise-level leadership for all quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance programs within a manufacturing environment. This role ensures best-in-class product integrity, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and aligns quality systems with business objectives and customer expectations. As a key member of the leadership team, this individual partners cross-functionally to support operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction. The position oversees food safety systems, audit readiness, preventive controls, laboratory operations, and crisis management while developing and mentoring a high-performing quality organization.
Responsibilities

Provide leadership for quality, safety, and regulatory compliance programs within a manufacturing or operational environment.

Ensure product quality and integrity by maintaining effective systems that meet internal standards and customer expectations.

Oversee quality and safety programs, including compliance frameworks, standard operating procedures, sanitation, and risk management processes.

Lead audit readiness and manage internal, customer, and third-party audits to ensure adherence to applicable requirements and standards.

Drive continuous improvement by establishing and monitoring performance metrics and implementing data-driven process enhancements.

Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.

Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, product development, and supply chain teams to support efficiency and quality integration.

Serve as a customer-facing representative for quality-related matters, including issue resolution and escalation management.

Oversee testing, validation, and data integrity processes to ensure accuracy and consistency of results.

Develop and lead a high-performing team through effective coaching, mentorship, and performance management practices.

Support the integration of quality systems into new products, processes, or operational changes.

Contribute to risk management and incident response planning related to quality and compliance.

Align quality and compliance initiatives with broader organizational goals and strategic priorities.

Communicate effectively with leadership, providing updates, insights, and recommendations on performance and risks.

Support multi-site operations and stakeholder engagement as needed.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field.

5-8 years of multi-site quality leadership experience in manufacturing environments.

Experience integrating quality systems into new product commercialization.

Familiarity with FDA, USDA, and FSMA regulations.

Experience in customer-facing quality leadership and crisis management.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
