The Continuous Improvement Manager will play a pivotal role in advancing operational excellence within our manufacturing site in Buffalo Grove, IL. This position requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in continuous improvement, process optimization, and lean methodologies. The manager will report to the Regional CI Director and be a key member of the Site Leadership Team, responsible for aligning operational activities with strategic business goals and driving impactful change.

Responsibilities

• Ensure alignment of all Operational Excellence activities with the strategic goals of the business by leading initiatives at the home site.

• Deploy the System of Operational Excellence as standard work and provide feedback to regional and global leadership.

• Lead business analysis of proposed projects and prioritize them according to organizational needs.

• Engage in the Site BEST Program and facilitate the Operational Excellence/Lean Steering Team to achieve targeted financial impact.

• Develop, update, and manage site Operational Excellence processes, metrics, and associated tools to ensure global and regional standard work alignment.

• Exemplify and hold the team accountable for demonstrating the company's core values, focusing on evaluating potential and driving succession planning.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's Degree with 10 or more years of related experience preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification from BQF or ASQ, or equivalent from Motorola or GE.

• Project Management Certification from PMI or recognized equivalent.

• 10 years of experience in technology, supply chain, or operations roles.

• Proficiency in Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Industrial Engineering, Time Studies, and Kaizen.

• Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing direct reports.

• Ability to lead and implement CI Metrics, including education, cultural enablers, and transformation cost improvements.

Work Environment

The position is based in a medical device/medical systems manufacturing facility in Buffalo Grove, IL. The environment is dynamic and focused on serving large clients in the industry. The role is part of the site leadership team and offers direct hire employment with competitive compensation and a short-term incentive bonus.

This is a Permanent position based out of Buffalo Grove, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
