Portfolio Strategy Lead (Chicago)

The Portfolio Strategist will be dedicated to one or more of Cushman & Wakefield's most dynamic client accounts. In this role, you will collaborate closely with peers and the account team to support a client's strategic real estate vision.
As the Portfolio Strategy Lead, you will maintain a thorough understanding of a clients global real estate portfolio and oversee optimization efforts, including the ongoing management of a comprehensive Plan of Record. With support from complementary account team members, you will oversee portfolio optimization initiatives and progress towards the clients enterprise goals. Job Responsibilities
- Think strategically and creatively to articulate client challenges and demonstrate how the real estate portfolio strategy can address enterprise business objectives.
- Gather data from various sources, analyze trends, synthesize insights, and prepare reports for executive review. Play a key role in helping account teams identify strategic opportunities, mitigate risks, and bring real estate opportunities to life.
- Provide analytical support, research, and develop Business Intelligence reports to support real estate strategy workstreams across the clients portfolio. Develop narratives and deliverables that facilitate stakeholder consensus and approval.
- Create executive infographics by distilling complex data sets into actionable insights.
- Support internal approval processes by developing compelling stories and documentation of potential costs, risks, and timelines for strategic initiatives.
- Assist in clients capital and budget planning processes, aligning with asset-level Plan of Record documentation.
- Coordinate with the account team and stakeholders to ensure tracking and reporting of deliverables. Collaborate with transactional teams and stakeholders as needed.
- Engage with account leaders to diagnose challenges and facilitate the delivery of insights and analytics related to those challenges.
- Monitor program delivery outcomes and report on progress with account teams.
- Work with global team members to develop innovative analytics, tools, and processes.
- Conduct industry research and benchmarking to best practices.
- Manage analytical projects, including business intelligence and geospatial reporting.
- Ensure that portfolio-wide SLAs and KPIs are met and aligned with contractual commitments.
- Support ad-hoc strategic projects as required.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
- 5-10+ years of experience in real estate portfolio strategy or strategic consulting.
- Experience with various real estate asset types is preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, and ESRI is a plus but not required.
- Prior experience in commercial real estate is essential.
- Strong leadership, self-management, and problem-solving skills; capable of managing large transaction volumes globally.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and team collaboration abilities.
