Family Law Paralegal
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Family Law Paralegal to join our growing legal team. In this role, you will support attorneys in handling a variety of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, and domestic violence cases. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong organizational skills, and is comfortable working directly with clients during sensitive and emotional situations.

- Draft, review, and file legal documents such as petitions, motions, affidavits, and discovery
- Manage case files and maintain accurate, up-to-date records
- Communicate with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel
- Assist attorneys in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and preparing case summaries
- Coordinate court filings (e-filing) and track deadlines
- Conduct legal research related to family law matters
- Schedule hearings, depositions, mediations, and client meetings
- Collect and analyze financial documents for equitable distribution, support, and custody cases
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in family law
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience required
- Strong knowledge of family law procedures and court rules
- Proficiency with legal software xrczosw and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with e-filing systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with case management software (e.g., Clio, MyCase)
- Trial preparation experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
