Join our Parks & Recreation team this summer!

The Village of Fox Lake is seeking three energetic Part-Time Parks Attendants to maintain safe, welcoming parks and support summer programs. This is a highly visible role perfect for individuals who enjoy engaging with the public and keeping our lakeside community vibrant.

What You’ll Do:

• Patrol Lakefront Park and other Village properties to ensure safety and security
• Engage with visitors and promote compliance with park rules
• Perform light grounds and facility maintenance
• Assist with special events, setup, crowd guidance, and signage
• Document incidents and communicate observations to staff

Qualifications:

• 18+ years old; high school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Valid State Driver’s License required
• Strong communication skills and ability to work outdoors in all weather
• Ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting up to 50–75 lbs

Schedule:

Park Attendants are seasonal employees scheduled for approximately 54 hours per week over the course of 17 weeks, from May 4 through August 31, 2026, with required attendance on Saturday, June 27 and Saturday, August 28, and up to 30 additional hours as approved by the Supervisor.

Shifts are as follows:

• Monday – Thursday – One Park Attendant from 3pm – 9pm (6-hour shifts)
• Friday – Two Park Attendants from 2pm – 10pm (8-hours shifts)
• Saturday – Sunday – Two shifts: AM 8am – 3pm, PM 2pm – 9pm (7-hour shifts)
• Attendance is required for all Attendants on June 27 and August 28: One AM shift from 8am – 3pm and two PM shifts from 2pm – 10pm (AM 7-hour shift, PM 8-hour shifts)
• Up to 30 additional hours may be available over the course of the season with Supervisor approval to cover special events and programming.
