Job Description

A professional that executes a variety of delegated administrative job duties related to the hospital’s medical staff. Prepares for medical staff meetings by managing the meeting schedule, compiling agenda packets, recording meeting minutes and safeguarding meeting data. Ensures adherence to regulatory compliance, coordinates the credentialing process: preparation and processing of medical staff applications, appointments, and reappointments files to the credentialing committee for review and approval by the medical staff and governing body. This professional is also responsible for supporting the contract lifecycle by reviewing, tracking contracts and related documents. This role ensures that all contracts comply with internal policies, and regulatory requirements, and that the contract review process flows efficiently.

The position requires the person ensures that patient privacy and confidentiality is protected through following the guidelines of the hospital regarding PHI.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with courses in typing, filing, office methods, computers, etc.
• Prior experience preferred
• Paralegal certificate within one year of hire
• Obtain Provider Credentialing Specialist certification within one year.
