Job Title: Shipping Associate

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Shipping Associate who will be responsible for receiving materials coming into the building from vendors and customers. The role involves verifying the quantity and description of materials received by checking merchandise against the packing list, examining incoming shipments, rejecting damaged items, and appropriately reporting or recording any discrepancies. You will also be required to enter the quantity received against the purchase or production order in the computer system.

Responsibilities

• Receive materials coming into the building by vendors and customers.
• Verify the quantity and description of materials received by checking merchandise against the packing list.
• Examine incoming shipments and reject damaged items.
• Report and record any discrepancies in shipments.
• Enter quantity received against the purchase or production order in the computer system.

Essential Skills

• Experience in inventory management, shipping and receiving, picking, and warehouse operations.
• Forklift experience and certification (stand-up).
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift, pull, and push up to 60 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• No degree required.
• Ability to climb a ladder.
• A proactive, problem-solving attitude and the ability to work efficiently and independently.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
