EXPERIENCED CNC LATHE/MILL MACHINIST

Eclipse Precision Machining, LLC – Elk Grove Village, IL

Eclipse Precision Machining is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced CNC Lathe/Mill Machinist who takes pride in their work and wants to grow with a company that’s serious about quality and performance.

We’re not looking for someone to just push buttons. We’re looking for a machinist who understands setups, knows how to hold tight tolerances, and wants to be part of a strong, team-oriented environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Set up and operate CNC lathes or Mills independently
• Read and interpret detailed blueprints and GD&T
• Hold tight tolerances (±.0005”–±.001”)
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections
• Adjust tooling offsets and troubleshoot issues at the machine
• Work with materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, and high-performance alloys
• Communicate with engineering and quality to keep jobs moving smoothly
• Help improve processes and maintain production flow

What We’re Looking For

• 7+ years of CNC lathe or mill experience
• Strong setup skills — you can run a job from start to finish
• Ability to read complex prints confidently
• Experience with live tooling and multi-axis turning is a plus
• Experience with 5-axis milling
• Good understanding of tooling, speeds/feeds, and tool life
• A quality-first mindset
• Dependable, team-oriented, and ready to contribute
