We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our abrasives manufacturing team. This role is responsible for operating, setting up, and maintaining CNC machines used in the production of abrasive products, ensuring high-quality standards, efficiency, and safety in a fast-paced industrial environment. Reports to: Production SupervisorSalary Range: $23.00 - $26.00 depending on experience and skill level.
Shifts: 6:00am – 2:30pm Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines (lathes) used in abrasives production
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
- Adjust machine settings to ensure precision and product quality
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment
- Inspect finished products using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Ensure products meet specifications and quality standards
- Maintain accurate production and inspection records
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to improve processes
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Lead
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
- 1–3+ years of CNC machining or manufacturing experience (abrasives or similar industry a plus)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Familiarity with CNC programming
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to use precision measurement tools
- Basic computer skills for machine interface and reporting
- Ability to communicate, read and write in English.
- Ability to stand, walk bend, stoop, twist for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs regularly
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with dust, noise, and varying temperatures
- Must have sufficient visual acuity to safely operate machinery, read gauges and warning indicators, and identify hazards in a manufacturing environment, with or without corrective lenses.

- Exposure to dust, moving machinery, and varying temperatures
- PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required at all times
- Experience with grinding or abrasive materials manufacturing
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles
