THE ROLE

Our client is seeking a founding Sales team member to help drive new partner acquisition and accelerate revenue growth. This individual will own the full sales lifecycle, from outbound prospecting and relationship building through closing new business. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced startup environments, operates with a strong sense of ownership, and is passionate about helping digital creators, influencers, and online communities grow through innovative technology solutions.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Own the full outbound sales process from lead generation through deal close and onboarding support.

  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of leads, prospects, and new business opportunities.

  • Develop relationships with content creators, influencers, and digital media personalities to grow platform adoption.

  • Develop a deep understanding of partner goals and communicate the value of the platform effectively.

  • Create and refine scalable sales playbooks, outreach strategies, and prospecting workflows.

  • Leverage CRM systems, automation tools, and AI-driven solutions to improve sales efficiency and organization.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with go-to-market, product, and partner teams to support successful deal execution.

  • Gather customer and market feedback to help influence product improvements and roadmap priorities.

  • Establish trusted relationships with partners and position yourself as a strategic resource throughout the sales process.

  • Contribute to the growth and development of the sales organization as an early team member in a rapidly scaling business.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • 4+ years of experience in sales, business development, partnerships, influencer marketing, creator partnerships, or account executive roles within a high-growth technology or startup environment.

  • Proven success managing the full sales cycle and consistently closing new business opportunities.

  • Experience working with content creators, influencers, talent partnerships, media personalities, or creator economy platforms preferred.

  • Strong outbound prospecting and pipeline generation experience.

  • Experience building scalable sales processes, playbooks, or operational workflows.

  • Familiarity with CRM platforms and sales automation tools.

  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and consultative selling skills.

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and operational discipline.

  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with a high degree of autonomy.

  • Strong problem-solving mindset with a proactive and resourceful approach to execution.

  • Passion for creator economy platforms, digital communities, sports media, or emerging consumer technology markets preferred.

LOCATION & COMPENSATION

  • This is a Hybrid role based in Chicago, IL (Loop) with an expectation of 2-3 days onsite per week.

  • Compensation includes a competitive base salary of $100k as well as commission/OTE, equity, and a benefits package.
