Position Type: Part-Time (26-30 hrs/week)

Salary: $18-$20/hour

We are seeking a motivated, friendly, and professional individual to join our team as a patient service coordinator (PSC). The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience from the moment they contact the office.

Job Responsibilities:

• Greeting Patients: Welcome patients with a positive attitude and ensure a smooth check-in/check-out process.
• Scheduling Appointments: Manage patient appointments, ensuring accuracy in the calendar, and confirming appointments via phone, email, or text.
• Patient Intake & Documentation: Collect patient information, insurance details, and medical history for each visit. Assist patients with forms as needed.
• Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance coverage and assist with billing inquiries. Communicate with insurance companies regarding eligibility and coverage.
• Answering Phones: Answer incoming calls promptly, respond to patient inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate staff.
• Office Organization: Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, manage patient flow, and ensure a smooth daily operation.
• Data Entry: Enter and update patient information into the practice management system accurately.
• Other Administrative Duties: Assist with filing, faxing, scanning, and other office duties as assigned by the chiropractor.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent: College experience preferred but not required.
• Previous Experience: Prior experience in a receptionist or customer service role, preferably in a healthcare setting (healthcare office experience is a plus).
• Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact with patients in a courteous and professional manner.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain a tidy workspace, and stay on top of appointments and schedules.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with office software (e.g., MS Office Suite), experience with chiropractic management software a plus.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to handle patient information accurately and confidentially.
