My client is a precision metal fabrication company specializing in sheet metal parts and assemblies. Their

shop utilizes CNC lasers, CNC turret punches, press brakes, single station punch presses, and

welding processes to produce high quality fabricated components.

Position Summary

Seeking a highly experienced Metal Fabrication Foreman who can lead the production floor

while actively supporting fabrication processes. This is a hands-on technical leadership role for

someone with deep expertise in sheet metal fabrication who can interpret complex drawings, plan

manufacturing methods, and guide operators through efficient and accurate production.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day to day operations on the fabrication floor

• Interpret engineering drawings and translate them into manufacturing processes

• Determine flat blanks, bend allowances, and bend deductions

• Plan and optimize bend sequences and forming strategies

• Support programming and operation of CNC press brakes, CNC turret punches, laser cutting

systems, and punch presses

• Guide tooling selection and setup including punches, dies, and relief considerations

• Troubleshoot fabrication challenges and improve part accuracy

• Work collaboratively with experienced operators and elevate team technical capability

• Maintain production quality, efficiency, and workflow

Technical Expertise Required

• Press brake forming including air forming vs bottom bending

• Bend allowances, bend deductions, and forming calculations

• Tooling setup and bend sequence planning

• Determining flat blank sizes from drawings

• Understanding forming operations on turret punch equipment

Machinery Experience

• CNC press brakes

• CNC turret punch presses

• Laser cutting systems

• Single station punch presses

• General sheet metal fabrication equipment

Welding Knowledge

Practical knowledge of MIG, TIG, and resistance/spot welding. Ability to evaluate weld requirements

and support fabrication and assembly processes.

Leadership Profile

• Strong technical leader capable of guiding experienced operators

• Collaborative approach with ability to improve shop processes

• Mentor team members and elevate shop capability

• Work directly with ownership to improve production

Experience

10+ years in sheet metal fabrication. Prior leadership or foreman experience preferred. Strong blueprint

reading and fabrication planning skills required.
