About Us:

God Restoring Order (GRO) Community is a mental healthcare provider that specializes in trauma recovery services for males of color ages 5 and up. GRO services are grounded in an understanding of the neurological, biological and psychological effects of trauma. GRO services include mental health and wellness, stress management, and community outreach.

Position Summary:

GRO Community is seeking a Community-Based Clinical Supervisor (QMHP Supervisor) to provide clinical, operational, and community leadership across the Southern Illinois region. This role supports both existing and new community-based programs, including school-based services, probation programs, reentry initiatives, and independent housing programs, across multiple prospective cities in Southern Illinois.

The Supervisor will play a key role in expanding GRO Community’s footprint by supporting the development of new sites and services in the Southern Regional communities, while ensuring clinical quality and consistency across all programs.

This position is ideal for an experienced clinician who is passionate about leadership, mentorship, and culturally responsive care, and who enjoys balancing clinical supervision, direct practice, regional travel, and program expansion efforts. The Supervisor will provide direct clinical supervision to QMHPs, MHPs, and other clinicians, maintain a small caseload, and serve as a clinical leader representing GRO Community across Southern Illinois systems and communities.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Supervision & Staff Support

  • Provide monthly individual and group clinical supervision to QMHPs, MHPs, and other clinical staff.
  • Offer ongoing clinical consultation and support related to assessments, treatment planning, documentation, and ethical decision-making.
  • Provide direct support to QMHP and MHP team members working within school-based, community-based, probation, reentry, and independent housing programs.
  • Maintain a small caseload to remain engaged in direct service and model clinical best practices.
  • Promote staff wellness, secondary trauma awareness, and retention strategies.

Quality, Compliance & Accountability

  • Ensure compliance with Medicaid, DHS, probation-related service requirements, school-based standards, and GRO Community policies.
  • Monitor documentation quality, service delivery standards, and utilization review readiness.
  • Collaborate with leadership and quality improvement teams to identify trends and implement corrective or improvement strategies.
  • Participate in audits, site reviews, and quality assurance activities as needed.

Regional Growth & Office Expansion

  • Support the development and expansion of GRO Community offices and programs across the Southern Region
  • Assist with onboarding staff, establishing clinical workflows, and supporting new program launches.
  • Ensure new and existing sites align with GRO’s clinical, ethical, and cultural standards.

Community, School & Systems Collaboration

  • Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with schools, probation departments, reentry partners, housing providers, community organizations, faith-based institutions, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with partners to support coordinated care, referral pathways, and continuity of services.
  • Represent GRO Community at community meetings, school meetings, case conferences, and stakeholder forums across Southern Illinois.

Travel & Regional Support

  • Willingness to travel frequently across Southern Illinois to provide in-person clinical supervision, staff support, and site oversight.
  • Provide on-site support to Southern Regional cities as programs grow and expand.
  • All work-related travel is paid for by GRO Community.

Work Setting:

  • 50% Travel amongst community and schools across designated region
  • Primarily community-based, including client homes, local centers, and outreach locations including court systems and probation offices
  • Hybrid Schedule
  • Flexibility to create your own work schedule

Qualifications:

  • Must currently hold a Clinical Master’s Degree (Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field).
  • Licensed or license-eligible preferred (LCSW, LCPC, LMFT).
  • Experience providing community-based and/or school-based mental health services.
  • Experience providing clinical supervision or mentorship (formal or informal).
  • Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care, culturally responsive practice, and ethical standards.
  • Must live in a Southern Regional Illinois city or be willing to relocate. Relocation stipend provided, if applicable.
  • Ability to travel regularly across multiple Southern Illinois sites.
