Position Summary:

We are seeking a Metatagger Specialist (Consulting) to join a leading media and entertainment services firm with a global client base. This role supports high-volume video tagging and metadata enrichment, ensuring viewers have a seamless, engaging experience across streaming platforms.

Essential Duties:

• Watch and annotate episodic and movie content using abstract and objective metadata types.
• Add accurate metadata tags to improve content discovery and categorization.
• Insert and review ad markers and editorial navigation tags (e.g., skip intro).
• Collaborate with team members and client contacts to maintain workflow efficiency.
• Track work progress and maintain detailed records in internal systems.
• Meet strict project deadlines and quality benchmarks.
• Support SEG's broader mission and participate in internal team initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Advanced writing, media analysis, or film-related background preferred (e.g., MFA, writers' room, script reading).
• 1-3+ years of experience analyzing scripted and unscripted video content.
• Prior experience with metadata tagging, editing software, or digital platforms strongly preferred.

Skills and Job-Specific Competencies:

• Strong storytelling comprehension and analytical skills.
• High attention to detail and fast, accurate data entry.
• Excellent internet research and abstract reasoning abilities.
• Familiarity with content management or digital asset platforms.
• Passion for media, entertainment, or international content a plus.
• Proficiency in languages such as Spanish, Korean, Japanese, or Mandarin a plus.

Travel Requirements: No travel will be required, unless at the client's discretion.

Salary Range: SolomonEdwards values your unique and individual experience and background. As such, we take a comprehensive approach when determining compensation for our roles. The compensation for this specific role is based on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to education, licensure and certifications, location, experience, and training. A reasonable estimate for the current hourly range for this role is $24 - 27.
