Job Title: Technology Product Manager
Client: Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company
Location: Waterloo, IA 50613
Duration: 2 Years (Possible Extension)
Shift: 1st Shift (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and prioritize product backlogs for enterprise engineering and software applications
• Represent customer and business needs to product and engineering teams
• Define product requirements, acceptance criteria, and release plans
• Coordinate governance, compliance reviews, and risk assessments
• Manage software licensing, renewals, vendor relationships, and supplier engagements
• Oversee application operations, support, and service availability
• Lead budget planning, forecasting, cost controls, and financial monitoring
• Drive platform migrations, tool consolidations, cloud transitions, and modernization initiatives
• Partner with engineering, architecture, finance, procurement, legal, and leadership teams
• Support software asset management and enterprise tool lifecycle management
• Monitor product performance metrics and customer experience improvements
• Lead process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency initiatives
• Support change management, user adoption, and enterprise transformation projects
Required Skills
• Product Management or Technical Program Management experience
• Agile methodologies and Scrum experience
• Enterprise software and application management
• Software licensing and vendor management
• Budget management and financial planning
• Compliance, governance, and risk assessment experience
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Business requirements analysis and translation into technical solutions
• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities
• Experience leading cross-functional projects and initiatives
Preferred Skills
• Azure and AWS cloud platform experience
• Software Asset Management (SAM) experience
• Engineering tools ecosystem knowledge
• Supplier risk management and contract negotiation experience
• Embedded software or controller technology exposure
• Process automation and workflow optimization experience
• Enterprise application lifecycle management experience
• Experience supporting large, matrixed organizations
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field
• 5+ years of Product Management, Technical Program Management, IT Business Management, Software Asset Management, or related experience
• Experience managing enterprise software products and applications
• Experience with budgets, renewals, licensing, vendors, and compliance processes
• Proven success leading strategic technology and operational improvement initiatives
