Mosquito Control Technician

Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of designated areas to identify mosquito breeding sites.
- Apply environmentally safe insecticides and larvicides according to established protocols.
- Monitor and maintain equipment used for mosquito control operations.
- Educate the public on mosquito prevention and control measures.
- Document and report findings, treatment applications, and any issues encountered during fieldwork.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and implement effective mosquito management strategies.
- Participate in training sessions and stay updated on best practices in mosquito control.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in pest control or environmental science is a plus.
Valid or the ablity to gain an Illinois Pesticide Operators license
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to undergo training and obtain necessary certifications.
