Senior Environmental Engineer

Senior Environmental Engineer CKL is currently seeking enthusiastic students with an interest in environmental engineering who would like the opportunity to grow their skills in the field. CKL is a multi-disciplinary professional services firm headquartered in Chicago, Illinois with offices in Atlanta, Georgia and Orlando, Florida. We provide engineering and construction management services to a variety of public and private clients. CKL is looking for talented leaders to build upon our strengths and grow locally, regionally, and nationally.

EXPECTATION AND RESPONSIBILITIES

On a daily basis, environmental engineers will...

• Conduct pre-construction surveys, monitoring, and prepare monitoring reports
• Maintain compliance with environmental permits and regulations
• Assure that erosion and sedimentation control measures are installed and maintained
• Assist with planning, developing, coordinating and ensuring the successful completion of projects
• Prepare and monitor project schedules to assure successful delivery of projects on time and on budget
• Prepare engineering project proposals in coordination with other engineers
• Make independent decisions and take responsibility for project solutions

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from a U.S. accredited college or university
• At least 5 years of experience as an environmental engineer
• Relevant environmental compliance experience
• Experience in implementing the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA)
• Experience in technical writing
• Registered Civil Engineer (PE) in the State of Illinois
• Strong written, verbal, computer and organizational skills
• Ability to work as a team
• US citizenship
• Proficiency with MS Excel, MS Word and Primavera P6, AutoCAD is a plus
• 3.0 GPA or better required
