We provide lawn care, fertilization, landscaping, and snow removal services throughout the area. Role Description
We are seeking a Shop / Equipment Manager to oversee equipment maintenance, shop organization, and fleet readiness. This position serves as the primary point of contact for equipment issues and is responsible for helping keep vehicles, trailers, and equipment operating safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate is organized, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working independently.

Pay and Schedule

• $30.00 to $35.00 per hour, based on experience.
• Full-time position.
• Monday through Friday schedule, with seasonal adjustments based on operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor landscaping equipment, vehicles, trailers, and shop assets.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for equipment and maintenance issues.
• Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, belt replacements, tire changes, and basic mechanical repairs.
• Track equipment issues and document repairs.
• Coordinate maintenance and repair work with dealerships and outside vendors when necessary.
• Assign trucks and equipment to field crews.
• Manage inventory of equipment, tools, parts, and shop supplies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
• Assist with yard maintenance and facility upkeep as needed.
• Support snow removal operations by preparing trucks, trailers, and snow equipment for seasonal use.
• Utilize software systems to track equipment, maintenance schedules, and inventory.
• Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a shop, mechanic, fleet, equipment, or maintenance environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to diagnose equipment issues and perform basic repairs independently.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience maintaining landscaping, lawn care, construction, or snow removal equipment.
• Experience managing inventory and maintenance schedules.
• Spanish-speaking ability is a plus but not required.
• Experience with equipment tracking or maintenance software.

Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to perform the essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation. Duties may include lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, using hand tools, and working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Work Environment

• Combination shop and outdoor work environment.
• Independent role with limited direct supervision.
• Fast-paced seasonal operations supporting landscaping and snow removal services.
