Senior Accounting Analyst

Position: Â Senior Accounting Analyst - Manufacturing

Supervisor: Â Plant Controller

Location: Â Libertyville, IL - Hybrid - 3 days per week onsite

Responsibilities: This position is primarily responsible for supporting the month-end closing and financial reporting processes for Culligan’s Flagship and Consumer Products business units, based in Libertyville, IL. This includes completion of all necessary journal entries, review of financial statements, maintenance of a strong internal control structure, and assisting with quarterly forecasts & annual budget, standard cost roll and physical inventories for three plants. Also, will work with supply chain and logistics to analyze both inbound and outbound freight.

Specific Job Function:

• Complete the month-end close process, which includes, but is not limited to:
• Posting & documentation of all required journal entries within 4-day close cycle
• Preparing monthly Purchase Price Variance reporting and work with purchasing on variances
• Ensuring completeness and accuracy of monthly account reconciliations
• Preparing & distributing monthly management reports and necessary internal department reporting
• Prepare the quarterly forecasts for both Balance sheet and Income statement.
• Prepare quarterly Excess & Obsolete Inventory Analysis and Warranty Reserve Analysis, discuss results and judgmental adjustments with Plant & Dealer Channel Controllers
• Participate in annual Physical Inventory count for 3 sites: coordinate staffing and processes, variance analysis & adjustments, and work with external auditors.
• Prepare supporting documentation for quarterly and annual external audits.
• Support future SAP enhancements around additional modules and bi-annual upgrade testing
• Collaborate with the Controller group to strengthen internal controls and drive towards Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
• Assist in the development of accounting policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Accounting or Finance
• 3-5 years manufacturing accounting experience
• Knowledge of ERP systems, SAP S4HANA preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Must be able to lift 30 lbs if needed to assist in physical inventory.

Target Salary Range: $80000-110000 salary a year.
