A 13-week contract opportunity is available for a pharmacist specializing in hospital inpatient care. This role is based west of downtown Chicago, with a scheduled start on June 1. The position offers daytime hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with rotating weekend shifts, ideal for professionals with at least one year of recent inpatient experience.
Responsibilities include comprehensive inpatient pharmacy duties such as verifying prescriptions, supervising pharmacy technicians, and checking intravenous medications. Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records is essential for accurate and efficient workflow.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year recent inpatient pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in EPIC EMR system
- Valid Illinois pharmacist license
- Experience supervising pharmacy technicians and performing IV checks
Location: Des Plaines, IL area (west of downtown Chicago)
