Retail Security Installation Technician

We are seeking a skilled Installation Technician to join our team. As an Installation Technician, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining a variety of electrical and electronic systems, including CCTV, alarm systems, and low-voltage networks. The ideal candidate will have experience with electrical systems, hand tools, and power tools, as well as the ability to read schematics and troubleshoot issues.
Duties:
-Travel to retail locations throughout the Upper Midwest- Install, test, and maintain electrical and electronic systems, including CCTV, alarm systems, and low-voltage networks.- Use a voltmeter and other diagnostic tools to identify and troubleshoot electrical issues.- Work with schematics to understand system configurations and troubleshoot problems.- Sell and install alarm systems, including IDS systems, to residential and commercial customers.- Collaborate with other technicians and supervisors to ensure that installations are completed safely and efficiently.- Use hand tools and power tools to complete installations and repairs.- Comply with National Electrical Code (NEC) and other industry standards and regulations.- Provide excellent customer service and ensure that customers are satisfied with the work completed.
Requirements:
- Willingness to travel a multi-state region-roughly three overnights per week.- High school diploma or equivalent required.- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.- Experience with electrical systems and low-voltage networks.- Experience with EAS (Electronic Article Surveillance) CCTV and alarm systems.- Familiarity with NEC and other industry standards and regulations.- Experience with service technician roles and alarm system sales.- Ability to read and interpret schematics.- Knowledge of hand tools and power tools.- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues.- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
