Aegis Worldwide is partnered with a rapidly growing manufacturing company in Itasca, IL, seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to support custom machine builds used in industrial equipment and data center applications. This is a hands-on role machining one-off, custom parts that go directly into major assemblies. This is perfect for someone who takes pride in precision craftsmanship.

What You’ll Do

• Set up and operate Bridgeport-style manual mills
• Drill and tap thick steel and aluminum components using a drill chuck and hand taps
• Machine custom, one-off parts for large equipment builds
• Read and interpret mechanical blueprints and engineering drawings
• Verify part accuracy using calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.
• Deburr, prep, and finish machined components
• Troubleshoot machining setups and ensure tight tolerances are met
• Support other departments when needed

What You Bring

• 3+ years of manual machining experience
• Strong experience with Bridgeport or similar manual mills
• Ability to drill, tap, and machine thick metals accurately
• Skilled in producing custom components (not production machining)
• High attention to detail and craftsmanship
• Ability to work in a shop environment and support overtime as needed
