CT Technologist Job Details

• Location: Hospital setting in Normal, Illinois (Zip: 61761)
• Employment Type: Travel healthcare contract
• Start Date: September 22, 2025
• End Date: December 20, 2025
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 12pm – 8:30pm
• Shift Duration: 8-hour shifts
• Shifts per Week: 5
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,500 - $2,560

CT Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist or Medical Imaging Technologist
• Certificate of Completion from a Radiologic Technology Program OR College Diploma in a related field
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist – Radiography (Illinois Emergency Management Agency - IEMA)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Registered in Radiography (R) – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Registered in Computed Tomography (CT) – ARRT OR Certified Nerve Conduction Technologist (CNCT)

CT Technologist Responsibilities

• Position patients accurately using proper immobilization techniques
• Perform diagnostic CT scans utilizing correct technical factors, shielding, and protocols based on patient diagnosis and clinical history
• Apply American College of Radiology (ACR) guidelines to minimize radiation exposure
• Conduct CT angiography, 3D imaging, MIPS, VR, Vessel Analysis, and MPRs using advanced reconstruction software
• Follow CT department workflow, including patient identification, history acquisition, order verification, and image management
• Operate support equipment such as independent workstations, pressure injectors, PACS, and EPIC systems
• Initiate IVs for contrast media administration per department policy
• Prepare and educate patients for exams, answer questions, and monitor patient condition during procedures
• Assist with patient transport and transfers as needed
• Collaborate with radiologists to tailor imaging protocols to individual patient needs
• Document patient history, charge data, and any incidents or reactions
• Maintain licensure and participate in continuing education for healthcare professionals
