Senior Director of Acute Care Services

The Senior Director Acute Care Nursing is accountable for clinical quality and departmental operations of the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit, Medical Surgical Unit, and Emergency Department. This includes coordination of the interdisciplinary team in the provision of patient care. Patient care includes care of the neonate to geriatric populations. The Senior Director of Acute Care Nursing is integral to the success of the patient care team and as such must be able to role model the vision, values, and behaviors of Graham Hospital. This position reports to the Vice President of Nursing & Risk Management/CNE.
Must be a graduate of an accredited registered nursing program and be currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state of Illinois.
BSN required, MSN preferred
Will be willing to consider prior experience and commitment to continue education
Must have a minimum of 5 years healthcare experience
Minimum of 2 years of previous management experience preferred in an acute care setting.
Clinical leadership and management skills including computer application, organizational theory, human resource management and management applications.
Previous experience developing a labor, non-labor expense, and capital budget for all areas on an annual basis, preferred
Ability to recognize age-specific physiological, psychological and sociological needs of the adult/geriatric patient/resident
Ability to assess age-specific data, to provide age-specific care and to recognize age-specific response to treatment
BLS certification through AHA required

Senior Director positions range between $100,000 - $110,000 annual salary. Compensation InformationAll wages are determined by experience and skills; wage information will be discussed further upon interview selection.
