Primary Function:

Are you a commercially savvy, technically curious, and relentlessly driven sales professional? Join IDEX MPT, a global leader in powder handling and material processing solutions, and help us grow our presence across the Americas. We're seeking a Regional Sales Manager in California to drive capital equipment sales across the food and pharmaceutical sectors . This is more than a sales role-it's a chance to be a trusted advisor, a strategic thinker, and a key contributor to our growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Own and grow a healthy sales funnel across your territory.

  • Lead focused sales efforts through face-to-face interactions with customers, in the field where they work.

  • Develop and close new business through proactive outreach, networking, and consultative selling.

  • Drive attainment of regional sales targets and contribute to Annual Operating Plans (AOP).

  • Negotiate with senior-level stakeholders and close complex capital equipment deals.

  • Thrive in a remote, autonomous role with a high degree of ownership.

  • Relentlessly pursue new opportunities and nurture long-term customer relationships.

  • Represent IDEX MPT at trade shows, seminars, and customer visits.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, service, and engineering teams.

  • Contribute to strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Understand customer pain points and translate them into tailored technical solutions.

  • Serve as the go-to technical advisor for your customers.

  • Assist in equipment specification, quote configuration, and proposal development.

  • AutoCAD or similar sketching capability is a strong asset.

  • Spanish fluency is a plus for supporting Latin American markets.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of capital equipment sales experience.

  • Post-secondary technical training (engineering degree or diploma preferred).

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Comfortable with frequent travel (50% - 75%) and remote work.

  • Experience selling into industrial or process manufacturing environments.

Total Rewards

The compensation range for this position is $110,000.00 - $165,000.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
