What You Will Do:

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Event & Trade Show Marketing Manager to lead key external events and trade shows across FBIN’s portfolio of brands. The ideal candidate would have extensive knowledge and experience within the kitchen/home/design/contractor/builder industries (connected security product sector a plus too!) and in adept at building and maintaining relationships across the industry and staying ahead of the curve. This role will be responsible for FBIN’s strategy and execution of our trade show and event programs, with a particular emphasis on high-profile conferences such as KBIS (Kitchen & Bath Industry Show) and IBS (International Builders’ Show). This person would also be responsible for strategic thought-leadership and long-term roadmap for FBIN’s event and trade show long-term strategy and organizational best practices.

The ideal candidate combines strategic vision with hands-on execution, thrives on collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners, and can operate effectively within a modest budget while maximizing impact. This person must bring a strong executive presence, the ability to confidently engage with C-level executives, and deep knowledge of industry networks and event marketing best practices.

  • Event Strategy & Planning: Develop and lead the event marketing strategy to elevate our brand presence across key trade shows and conferences, aligning with company objectives and target audiences.
  • Trade Show Execution: Manage end-to-end planning, logistics, and execution for industry events such as KBIS, IBS, and other relevant expos, ensuring seamless experiences that highlight our brand and products.
  • Executive Engagement: Serve as a trusted partner to senior leadership, preparing executives for events, facilitating introductions, and representing the company with polish and credibility.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams (marketing, sales, product, and executive leadership) to align messaging, showcase innovations, and drive measurable outcomes from event participation.
  • Budget Management: Create and manage event budgets, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to deliver high-impact programs within financial constraints.
  • Agency & Vendor Oversight: Build and maintain strong relationships with external agencies, exhibit houses, and event vendors to ensure efficient, high-quality event execution.
  • Measurement & Optimization: Track event performance, generate post-event reports, and provide insights and recommendations to continuously improve ROI.
  • Industry Networking: Leverage existing connections and build new relationships within the kitchen, home, building, and security industries to enhance brand visibility and create opportunities.
  • Lead the trade show & content engagement COE across FBIN. Integrating teams, establishing best practices and processes across the organization.
  • Lead the strategy, tactical and logistical planning as well as project management and execution of events within Fortune Brands Innovation, including but not limited to: national and regional trade shows, industry events, and internal corporate events.
  • Provide marketing support for other customer-focused events such as immersive showroom events, customer training, on-site visits, etc. 
  • Assist Sales and Marketing in determining which trade shows and marketing opportunities are strategically critical and make recommendations to cross-functional teams based on corporate priorities and goals.
  • Plan and execute all aspects of Tier 1 and 2 level trade shows and assigned marketing events from inception through completion, organizing events within company budget and leading all logistical event execution deliverables, including space negotiations and contracts, hotel and travel management, coordination/maintenance of exhibits properties, talent and promotions, etc.
  • Manage the overall project including planning, briefs, communications (pre, during, post event), cross-functional and executive meetings, vendor management, execution, budgeting, capital requests, demo and running water vignettes dev, summarization of key learnings, reporting, lead follow-up and ROI analysis of trade shows and events.
  • Manage all aspects of exhibits including concepting, structure graphics creation and approvals, exhibit structure and material shipments, product ordering, promotional items planning and pre- and post-show delivery requirements.
  • Communicate to internal stakeholders on pre-event plans, daily onsite observations and post-event recaps as required.

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required; a concentration in Marketing is preferred.
  • 8+ years of business experience is required; experience in event planning required. 
  • Managerial experience minimum of 5 years.
  • Demonstrated ability to define and measure marketing program effectiveness.
  • Verified organization, project management and event planning skills; strong understanding of trade show production requirements and timelines; ability to plan, manage and meet deadlines across multiple events/cities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work cross functionally and lead teams as well as develop targeted strategies and implement tactics and initiatives.
  • Possess the ability to interact comfortably with upper management as well as interact with media, customers, owners, sales associates, etc.
  • Proficiency in software applications such as Powerpoint, Excel and Word, Outlook
  • 15-20% seasonal travel is required

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $90,000 USD - $143,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
