Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN for a 13-week day shift contract in Evanston, IL, requiring at least one year of cardiovascular lab or critical care experience and an active IL RN license.

Details

• Full-time day shift position in a Cardiac Cath Lab / Cardiology department
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
• Patient population includes adult and geriatric patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures
• Provides coverage for OR/IR as needed
• On-call requirement: every 3rd weekend with at least 16 on-call shifts per 6-week period
• 30-minute on-call response time required

Requirements

• Active Illinois (IL) RN license required
• Current BLS (AHA or Red Cross) and ACLS (AHA or Red Cross) certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of hands-on clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab performing cardiac procedures, or in a Critical Care setting
• BSN preferred
• DOB and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Deliver patient care throughout all phases of cardiovascular procedures, addressing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs
• Monitor and interpret physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
• Prepare and maintain procedure rooms, ensuring all equipment is calibrated and ready for use
• Manage case-specific supplies and inventory to support efficient Cath Lab workflow
• Collaborate with physicians providing continuous updates on patient status before, during, and after procedures
• Maintain thorough documentation of patient condition while in the Cardiovascular Lab
• Participate in performance improvement and CQI activities
