Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A school-based social worker position is available to support young learners in an elementary school setting, serving students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade. This full-time contract role spans the 2025-2026 school year, beginning on August 11, 2025, and concluding on May 30, 2026. The professional will maintain a caseload of approximately 20-30 students, providing essential social-emotional support and interventions tailored to the needs of early elementary students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individual and group social work services to K-3 students
• Assess student needs and develop appropriate intervention plans
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student well-being and academic success
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to student support planning
• Monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies as necessary
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with confidentiality standards

Qualifications:

• Valid School Social Worker (SSW) license
• Professional Educator License (PEL)
• Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage a caseload of 20-30 students effectively

Work Schedule and Location:

• Position located in Rockford, IL
• 35-40 hours per week, five days a week
