Global Strategic Design and Solutions Engineer Data Center - Electrical
Iron Mountain is seeking an experienced Global Strategic Design and Solutions Engineer Data Center - Electrical to join our Global Design and Construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for defining and documenting the global electrical design standards, specifications, and reference designs that ensure consistency, efficiency, and scalability across our rapidly expanding portfolio of data centers. This position requires deep expertise in high-reliability electrical power systems and a proven ability to collaborate across global engineering, construction, and operations teams to drive continuous improvement.
What You'll Do (Core Responsibilities)
In this role, you will:

Support Senior Director of Global Design in the development of data center solutions for hyperscale data center customers within new and existing facilities

Develop and manage reports to provide actionable insights for decision-making

Collaborate with regional engineering, construction, and operations teams to translate business needs into scalable, global electrical design standards and specifications

Ensure compliance with organizational standards, industry best practices, and international electrical codes and regulations for all data center electrical systems

Lead the evaluation and selection of new electrical technologies and equipment to improve cost, performance, and sustainability of the data center fleet
What You'll Bring (Skills & Qualifications)
The ideal candidate will have:

10+ years of experience in electrical engineering design for mission-critical facilities, specifically large-scale data centers

Strong knowledge of high-reliability electrical power systems, medium and low voltage distribution, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), and generator systems
-
Proven ability in stakeholder management and technical leadership, driving alignment on complex design issues across diverse global teams
-
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) and a Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification

Reasonably expected salary range: $138,500.00 - $184,700.00
