SENIOR SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN SPECIALIST (DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AND HIGHWAYS)
Responsible for installing, testing, maintaining, documenting, and providing full technical support for personal computers, networks and mid-range systems for software and hardware for the enterprise information systems. Responsible for the overall coordination, control, and maintenance of the information systems within the enterprise to insure operability, compatibility, and integration with enterprise strategies. Performs product evaluation and testing. Assists in planning software and hardware changes and provides direction and assistance to the subordinate systems analyst's staff.
Minimum Qualifications- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree or higher is required AND
- Four (4) years of experience as a Computer Field Technician is required OR
- An equivalent combination of education and/or experience is required.
- Valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance is required.
This position is considered a safety-sensitive position. Candidates who are selected to fill safety-sensitive positions must pass a required drug test as part of the pre-employment background check process.

- Ability to provide in-depth insight, advice, and expertise to other professionals, management, and external contacts in an assigned functional area.
- Ability to operate as a senior team member and communicate advanced specialized knowledge to team members, leaders, and external stakeholders. Knowledge of complex principles and practices for a specialized area of focus.
- Knowledge of computer technology, installation and configuration of workstation equipment, and network essentials.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Windows 10 platform, including familiarity with Apple iOS and Android.
- Ability to utilize advanced skills and knowledge to deal predominantly with the more difficult, complex, and demanding problems and issues arising in connection with network administration and support services.
- Ability to function in a highly independent manner in the execution of all job duties.
- Ability to travel to various Department of Transportation and Highway buildings throughout the County.
Medium Work involves exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently or an amount greater than negligible and up to 10 pounds constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
