Senior Commercial Real Estate Attorney (Counsel / Partner)

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced real estate attorney seeking a sophisticated platform, a strong existing workflow, and the ability to play a meaningful role in the continued growth of a prominent Chicago-based practice. The position offers substantial client-facing responsibility, exposure to complex transactions, and the opportunity to work alongside experienced real estate attorneys serving clients across a broad range of industries.

The practice represents developers, institutional investors, lenders, financial institutions, REITs, owners, operators, and corporate users of real estate in a wide variety of transactional matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage sophisticated commercial real estate transactions.
• Handle acquisitions, dispositions, financings, development projects, and related transactional matters.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, counterparties, and deal teams.
• Advise clients through all stages of complex real estate transactions.
• Collaborate with attorneys across real estate, finance, corporate, and related practice areas.
• Contribute to the continued growth and development of the Chicago real estate practice.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of commercial real estate transactional experience preferred.
• Significant experience with real estate acquisitions and dispositions.
• Strong background in real estate finance and development transactions.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and client relationship skills.
• Strong academic credentials and professional judgment.
• Meaningful client-facing experience and demonstrated business development aptitude.
