General Description :
The Communications Director is responsible for articulating Parkview's story with clarity and impact. This role demands strong leadership and management to create and implement a communications strategy and vision that reflect Parkview’s mission to live the way of Jesus in and for the world , and its values:

Partnering with senior leadership, this individual directs and produces content, shapes marketing strategy, and guides creative vision. Responsibilities span the full process—from design to completion—for all graphics for services, events, and social media. The Communications Director safeguards and advances Parkview’s brand across ministries, connecting with people creatively, effectively, and meaningfully.
Essential Job Functions
Serving staff & ministries
- Build strong relationships with staff and ministries to gain a deep understanding of and appreciation for Parkview’s diverse ministry efforts.
- Communicate effectively with staff to assess their needs for ministry, event design, and promotion.
- Deliver projects promptly and efficiently.
- Create weekly updates on what is happening at Parkview.
Graphic Design
- Create graphics & deliverables for events, ministries, and each sermon series.
- Create & maintain Parkview's overall brand identity and the identities of its specific ministries.
- Create all social posts, reels, & stories.
Website & App
- Collaborate with the web developer to maintain and enhance website and app content for effective communication.
Social Media
- Develop and implement all social media strategies and schedules.
- Ensure high-quality social media photography and video by either executing tasks directly or effectively overseeing volunteers.
Video Content
- Produce and edit or oversee the production of storytelling videos for the website, social media, and Sunday services.
Teamwork
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop comprehensive communication strategies, both short- and long-term.
- Recruit and build a media team from the congregation to support photography, video, event coverage, and social media projects.

Position Requirements
- Skilled in high-quality graphic design and visual creativity.
- Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong creativity and eye for design.
- Experienced with modern digital communication platforms and strategy.
- Ability to develop a strong communication strategy for Parkview.
- Must be dedicated to growth and willing to learn the desired skills below that are not yet possessed to a proficient level. Professional development funds and release time are available.
- Growing faith in Jesus and able to agree with Parkview’s statement of faith without reservation.
- Committed to making Parkview your church home and engaging in the community life of the church.
Desired
- 2+ Years of communications experience in a church or non-profit setting.
- Ability to shoot and edit high-quality videos.
- Web design and management experience.
- Able to take high-quality photos.
- Proven experience building and leading diverse teams (staff and volunteers).
Position Structure
Reports to: Andy Klenke, Lead Pastor
Category: Full-Time Staff, Exempt
Hours: 40 hours
Compensation: $55,000-$70,000 (Depending on experience, education, and technical skills) & competitive benefits package
Schedule: Monday-Thursday (8 hrs/day); Friday and Sunday (4 hrs/day). Attendance at night and weekend events (average 3 per month). Can reduce Friday hours when working these events.
Location: In-person on-site. One remote day per week becomes available after 90 days of strong performance.
