General Maintenance I - Indian Prairie CUSD 204 Facilities

Job Description

The General Maintenance I role is crucial position in the Maintenance department. Duties include performingall necessary maintenance project on site while keeping records & inventory.

• Work hours: Temp/Seasonal employee . Monday - Friday. When school is in session 4PM-12AM (CST), shift adjust when school is out of session.
• Work location specifics: Indian Prairie School District 204, Aurora, Naperville Illinois
• Key responsibilities: Assisting with installing light kit fixtures for schools.
• Selling points: Flexibility. PLAW time.
• Requirements:

• Basic level understanding of mechanical, electrical, carpentry
• Ability to bend, lift, and move objects in excess of 60 lbs.
• Ability to work on a ladder or high places
• Ability to pass background and drug screening

Compensation Data

COMPENSATION: The Hourly rate for this position is $23.00 to $23.00. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark?s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities

• Completes preventative maintenance as scheduled and keeps records
• Responds to any emergency repair/maintenance situation as required
• Maintains critical inventory needed to keep operations running; maintains and accounts for tools used
• Maintains a friendly, efficient, and positive attitude toward customers, clients, and co-workers

Qualifications

• HVAC Certification preferred
• Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Must be able to follow safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks
• Some driving required using your personal vehicle between the 3 sites, but mileage is reimbursed when it exceeds your normal commute.
• HVAC troubleshooting, electrical, plumbing & general maintenance
  
  

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
