The salary range for this position is $70.56 - $98.78 (Hourly Rate)

Placement within the salary range is dependent on several factors such as relevant work experience and internal equity. For positions represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range is guided by the rules outlined in the collective bargaining agreement.

Description

The Program Director, Perioperative Services Operations and Performance , will be responsible for partnering with the Perioperative Services Directors to oversee the performance and project management activities across all Northwestern facilities. This role will also provide oversight of performance relative to the goals of Perioperative Services, and management of strategic and operational projects to further the missions of Perioperative Services.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Perioperative Services leadership team (including Vice President, directors, management teams, physician leadership, and other key leaders) to oversee performance (data analysis and management to support strategies and tactics to achieve system goals), and project management activities.
  • Partner with Central Scheduling to develop and maintain reliable surgery scheduling processes to enhance timely access to surgical care.
  • Ensure continued rigor and improvement of operations and performance team infrastructure through systemized prioritization of work across team and standardized team processes
  • Support system perioperative committees to further the advancement of patient care
  • The Perioperative Services Program Director, will provide leadership and mentorship to direct reports who will manage day-to-day activities related to operations, performance, and projects, including but not limited to:
    • Analyze key performance metrics, such as patient engagement, patient access, quality, and productivity in order to identify opportunities for improvement and growth
    • Lead planning efforts for Perioperative Services projects
    • Identify and implement improvements to optimize performance of perioperative services teams
    • Prioritize and scope projects in order to optimize efficiency and results
    • Manage multiple complex projects involving cross-functional stakeholders, and perform a variety of functions within those projects, including: facilitating meetings, creating/delivering presentations, problem solving, setting and driving goals and timelines, designing and conducting complex analytics
    • Design and execute growth initiatives, including collaboration with cross-departmental teams as needed (e.g. strategy, finance, marketing, operations)
    • Lead innovations and operational enhancements by leveraging best practices
    • Present findings and proposals to leadership within Perioperative Services as well as NM Executives
  • Oversight over operations analysts and providing mentorship and assist in developing personal and professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 8-10 years industry experience.
  • Strong Knowledge of Microsoft: Word, Excel, Power Point, Project
  • Demonstrated project management and organizational skills, demonstrated analysis and problem solving skills, excellent oral and communication skills, demonstrated ability to effectively establish and maintain working relationships with peers and constituents at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent capability to lead projects with budgets in excess of $1,000,000.
