As a Bakery Buyer / Merchandiser, you will play a crucial role in sourcing premium bakery products, negotiating with suppliers, and managing inventory to meet the demands of our growing business. You will collaborate closely with our culinary and operations teams to develop and implement effective merchandising strategies that highlight our bakery items and drive customer satisfaction.

We offer a competitive salary range of $75,000 - $85,000 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth in a vibrant and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Source and negotiate with bakery suppliers to secure quality products
• Manage inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of bakery items
• Analyze market trends and consumer preferences to guide purchasing decisions
• Collaborate with culinary teams to develop new product offerings
• Implement merchandising strategies to enhance product visibility
• Conduct regular audits of bakery products to ensure quality standards
• Monitor sales performance and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in bakery retail with multi-unit experience
• Strong understanding of bakery merchandising, inventory control, shrink management, and production flow
• Strong knowledge of bakery products and market trends
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Proficient in inventory management and purchasing software
• Ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in business or a related field is a plus
