Industrial Maintenance Technician (2nd & 3rd Shift) – Automation, Robotics & PLCs

Job Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on industrial machinery and automated equipment
• Diagnose and repair issues involving:
  • PLC-controlled systems
  • Robotics and robotic cells
  • Motor drives and automation controls
  • Electrical and mechanical components
• Maintain and repair production equipment including:
  • Conveyors
  • Palletizers
  • Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs)
  • Case sealers
  • Tray wrappers
  • Flow wrappers
  • Heat tunnels
  • Baggers
  • Printers and labeling equipment
  • Weigh scales
  • Balers
  • Pallet wrappers
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and automation-related issues
• Utilize CMMS software (UpKeep or similar) to manage work orders and preventive maintenance schedules
• Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Identify equipment improvements and report safety concerns
• Support equipment installations, changeovers, and production startup activities
• Operate forklifts and assist with material handling as needed

Required Qualifications

• 1–3 years of industrial maintenance, maintenance mechanic, or manufacturing maintenance experience
• Technical school certification or related maintenance training preferred
• Experience troubleshooting:
  • Electrical systems
  • Mechanical systems
  • Automated machinery
  • Production equipment
• Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Preferred Experience

• PLC troubleshooting and diagnostics
• Robotics and automation equipment
• Conveyor systems and automated material handling equipment
• Packaging equipment maintenance
• Food manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, or high-speed production environments
• CMMS systems such as UpKeep, MP2, Maintenance Connection, or similar platforms
• Forklift operation

This is a Permanent position based out of Elwood, IL.

The pay range for this position is $57200.00 - $57200.00/yr.

This is a fully onsite position in Elwood,IL.

This position is anticipated to close on Jul 31, 2026.
