Our Technical Operations team is full of aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities professionals, and supply chain teams that help make sure they’re well taken care of and ready to get our customers to their desired destinations. Job overview and responsibilities:

The primary role of Senior Manager is to lead a team responsible for delivering key initiatives consistent with Technical Operations Heavy Maintenance’s business plan by partnering with cross functional leadership across multiple locations and divisions. Focus on performance and constantly strive to eliminate waste, improve customer satisfaction, and reduce defects. Partner with business leaders to improve decision-making and problem-solving.

  • Proactively benchmarks and implements initiatives/standard processes across the system and industry with defined impact and sustained improvements tied to Tech Ops Heavy Maintenance’s strategy and footprint
  • Acts as a thought partner with business leadership to select, scope and prioritize initiatives
  • Develops a portfolio of identified projects and potential savings tied to the scale of the MRO network
  • Provides leadership, mentoring and training to all levels and functions on the use and practice of the process optimization methodologies and tools

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):



  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Technology, or Business Administration (or equivalent work experience)
  • 5-7 years of experience in full-time continuous improvement role
  • LSS Green Belt certified
  • Experience in large scale and diverse process improvement implementations
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Knowledge of LSS toolkit
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Strong influencing skills
  • Strong conflict resolution skills
  • Minitab
  • Visio
  • Up to 30% travel
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position


What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):



  • Master’s degree in engineering, Technology or an MBA
  • 3+ years of airline business experience
  • 3+ years of diverse CI portfolio implementation
  • 5+ years of LSS experience
  • 3+ years of work experience using statistical analysis
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience
  • Strong Green Belt and Black Belt certification, i.e. 60% or higher
  • 1+ years Green Belt and Black Belt training experience
  • Black Belt certification from an LSS training/certification vendor that includes completion of a real-life project, formal in-class training, and exam
  • Contract negotiation
  • Knowledge of labor strategy and modeling
  • Demonstrated business transformation portfolio
The base pay range for this role is $140,600.00 to $183,108.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
