Job Type: ~6 month, full-time c ontract until December 31, 2026

Location : Hybrid – work from home & field , with up to 40% travel across Ottawa, Prescott, Gananoque

NVA Canada is looking for a Market Development Specialist to join our Canadian Support Centre team to provide a new level of support to our community o f veterinary practices.

The Market Development Specialist will be a hands-on support for NVA Canada veterinary practices looking to increase pet parent acquisition, satisfaction and retention . Reporting to the NVA Canada marketing team and w orking directly with Operations and Hospital Leadership teams, t hey will develop clinic and pet owner marketing campaigns, advis e hospitals on best marketing practices for their local communities , and lead the implement ation of key marketing programs and activities , all with the pet parent in mind .

What You’ll Be Doing:

Drive growth by reaching more pet parents and optimizing retention

  • Lead new pet parent acquisition initiatives through marketing channels ( e.g. paid social media, organic social media, out-of-home advertising, community events , etc.)

  • Champion increased, contemporary pet parent communication and engagement for optimal customer service and engagement of existing clients ( e.g. online booking, reminders, SMS/email, lapsing patient reports, etc.)

  • Lead the site-level implementation of national campaigns , and advocate for community outreach and act ivations

  • Oversee tactical execution and lead/organize creative where appropriate ( e.g. logos, advertisements, brochures, SEM, merchandizing, flyers, mailers, and other collateral, content calendars, social media, email, websites, etc.)

  • Develop campaign analytics/measurement and reporting for effective follow-through and decision-making and manage budget, vendors and agency to coordinate logistics and deliverables for all projects

Build individual practice brands in their respective communities

  • Work alongside hospital and operations teams to understand and help build and execute individualized clinic growth plans

  • Create strategic , multi-channel marketing plans steeped in data and aligned to the overall needs and objectives of your assigned hospitals.

  • Directly manage assigned hospital social properties , websites, and online reputation, including partnering to curate content, optimize paid and organic posts, and respond to online customer comments and concerns.

What You’ll Bring to NVA Canada :

  • 3+ years in marketing, sales, or direct veterinary hospital experience. Marketing experience (social media, content creation graphic and/or organic) is beneficia l.

  • Strong project management, prioritization, organization, communication, and multitasking skills

  • Experience or willingness to learn Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, Canva, Asana, M365, client communication tools, ServiceNow, AllyDVM , Vetstoria , website management and clinic PIMS

  • Vehicle and a V alid G Dr iver’s Li cense

Compensation:

  • $58,000 - $70 ,000 annual salary , pro-rated for the term of the agreement

  • Salary depending on experience & industry knowledge
